ScottishPower is committed to investment in green performance, including innovations in green hydrogen. They announced their latest investment plan in 2020 to create a wide range of new employment opportunities in wind farms across the country, building on their existing network of 40 wind farms. The company claims to be the UK’s first 100% green energy company.
ScottishPower offers green tariffs for domestic customers that are 100% renewable energy generated. However, business customers This is in contrast to many energy suppliers that are not upfront about the fuel mix of their green tariffs. Cancellation Policy
Unfortunately, business energy customers face paying exit fees if they cancel an active contract prior to the renewal date. To switch you will need to inform ScottishPower in writing 30 days ahead of the date you intend to switch. The exit penalty will be factored into your final bill.
Keep an eye out for your renewal notice period letter which will inform you when you can switch for free.
